Data Scientist

A consultancy specialising in AI and applications, with a primary focus on helping enterprise clients extract business value by implementing AI solutions and maximising return on investment, is recruiting for a data scientist. The successful candidate will provide deep insight into compliance and IT methodology processes while contributing to the success and sustainability of the group.

Responsibilities

Cloud management

• Oversee cloud computing technologies and emerging computing trends.
• Manage coordination between development and support environments.

Development and project management

• Translate and simplify requirements for implementation.
• Apply DevOps experience to streamline processes.
• Manage projects and processes effectively.
• Develop solutions using a specific programming language.
• Utilise software development tools, techniques, and approaches to build application solutions.

Natural language processing (NLP) and AI integration

• Apply expertise in NLP methods and customised NLU models.
• Integrate NLP/NLU technologies into business applications.
• Assist in the development of business cases.
• Experience with the MSFT Bot Framework and Virtual Assistant is advantageous.

Qualifications and experience

• BSc Honours in Statistics, Informatics, Computer Science, or B.Eng. (Computer Science).
• Strong background in mathematics with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile Working Model (AWM) responsibilities.

Technical skills

• Programming languages: C#, Python, SQL, PL/SQL.
• Web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML.
• AI and data science: R, Python, SKLearn, PySpark.
• Cloud platforms: MS Azure.
• Development tools: ATC Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub.
