Qualifications and experience:

• Tertiary qualification in public relations and or communication/journalism.
• At least two years as PR account manager within an agency environment with contactable references.

Required: 

• Experience managing clients independently and delivering results.
• Media Relations: Great contacts and strong relationships with journalists, editors and influencers across various industries.
• Digitally savvy (digital marketing and social media).
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the PR world. 
• Great communicator: Active listener, confident speaker.
• Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills.
• Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute PR strategies that align with client goals. 
• Project management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a team and multiple accounts and deadlines.
• Positive, can-do attitude and an excellent work ethic. Creative problem-solver. 
• Cape Town based essential. (Hybrid office/wfh position).
