Responsibilities

• Champion the fight against financial crime, leveraging data science to detect and prevent illicit activities.
• Be a self-starter, constantly exploring new ways to tackle complex problems.
• Lead analytical projects from problem identification to full implementation.
• Translate complex concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Design, optimise, and implement advanced analytical models to support business strategy.
• Enhance statistical models and refine data analysis methods for smarter decision-making.
• Drive innovation by finding faster, more accurate ways of working.
• Foster collaboration, contributing to an inclusive and high-performing team.
• Ensure operational excellence, adhering to quality, governance, and compliance standards.

• Education: Honours degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, actuarial science, or engineering.
• Experience: At least five years in a data-driven environment, including analytical model development and implementation.
• Advantage: Experience in financial crime, fraud, or anti-money laundering analytics.

The reference number for this position is NG60208, which is a permanent position based in Johannesburg, offering a salary of R600,000 up to R800,000 per annum CTC, negotiable based on experience.
