Area Sales Representative

Wings Group - A leading confectionary importer of global brands such as Lavazza, Ritter Sport, Toffifee, Werthers etc is looking for an experienced FMCG sales representative based in Cape Town.

The candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing new and existing business by focusing on assigned customers to drive sales of the full product portfolio.
• Working directly with the national sales manager to achieve sales targets monthly and annually.
• Influencing key decision makers at store level; managers, buyers and owners
• Managing our agency partners in merchandising and sales
• Driving rate of sale through controlling and monitoring price, positioning, and promotional execution across all products and brands

Skills:

• Minimum of three years' experience of sales and merchandising in the FMCG industry
• Experience working with a major retailer or multiple major retailers (Shoprite/Checkers, Spar, Pick n Pay, Dis-Chem or Clicks)
• The ability to develop new business and sell new products
• Negotiation skills in sales, pricing, visibility and forward share
• Sound computer knowledge with IT proficiency to interpret data and formulate sales targets and generate reports.
• The candidate must be in possession of a South African driver's license, be a self-starter, pro-active and motivated with ambition
• Have their own vehicle for transport
