Duties and responsibilities
  • Exceed customer expectations by using effective selling techniques.
  • Adhere to stock loss control measures in the store.
  • Consistently meet individual sales targets.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales and drive turnover.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and uphold visual merchandising standards to optimise sales.
  • Create an inspiring and enjoyable shopping environment.
  • Process all transactions, including cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and other acceptable payments.
  • Ensure all outgoing stock, items, and scripts are scanned and paid for.
  • Process loyalty cards, including those of accelerated partners.
  • Build professional relationships with customers and provide friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance.
  • Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
  • Address and resolve customer stock queries.

Minimum requirements

Essential:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Up to six months of retail experience.
Special conditions of employment:
  • Clear credit and criminal record.
  • Willingness to work retail hours.
  • South African citizenship.
Advantageous:
  • One year of retail experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current clothing trends or outdoor lifestyles (depending on the brand).
