Midweight Graphic and Web Designer

A mid-level position for a graphic designer is vacant within a medium-sized, dynamic advertising agency conveniently situated in Highveld, Centurion. Preference will be given to candidates living in the area or with a convenient mode of transport, as deadlines may at times require longer working hours. The successful candidate will report to the managing and production directors.

Please note: This position is for a mature, creative designer who is proficient in DTP as well. Your portfolio must demonstrate these skills.

Key responsibilities

• Creative design from inception to completion.
• Layout/typesetting of text for reports/publications of any size.
• Layout/typesetting of financial statements.
• Provide other assistance within the department.
• Liaising with clients when required.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in design from a recognised institution.
• At least three years of work experience in a similar field (non-negotiable).
• Solid knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• A keen eye for design.
• Creative flair for concepts.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of and experience in repro and litho printing.
• Contactable references, as 45th Media will verify these.

Candidate profile

• Enthusiastic team player with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Not a clock watcher.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Own transport and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
