Applications are invited for the position of: Curriculum Design and Maintenance officer.

Afda supports comprehensive curriculum reviews to ensure that the content, structure, learning outcomes, teaching and learning activities, assessment and delivery methods are current and appropriate. Afda is looking for a committed and dedicated individual for the role of our Curriculum Design and Maintenance officer.  This individual would focus on curriculum maintenance to ensure that the Afda educational pedagogy is implemented, effective and meets the demands of our educational promise. The position requires someone who displays a high level of initiative and who would be able to demonstrate a willingness to embrace Afda’s unique teaching and learning methodologies which are the basis of the interdisciplinary teaching at Afda.

The following duties will be expected to be fulfilled:
  • Curriculum research and data collection in line with current educational pedagogy and industry trends and standards
  • Curriculum development based on research
  • Curriculum mapping and course outline revisions and changes
  • Creating the content and structure of new curriculum developments and/ or changes
  • Presentation and delivery of new Curriculum outcomes in a format that is accessible to both staff, students and stakeholders
  • Developing a curriculum review report
  • Maintenance of the current curriculum
Requirements and Personal Attributes:
  • Master’s degree in higher education studies
  • Excellent educational and theoretical background  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (word, excel, PPT)
  • Highly developed organisational skills
  • A meticulous and thorough nature
  • An ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Loyal,, honest and trustworthy – committed to high integrity and excellence
  • Culturally and Socially aware
