This application launched by operator Ooredoo allows its users to report any environmental violations by sending a photo with a comment to all stakeholders (Ministry of Environment and municipality under the geographic point where the photo was taken), which will intervene immediately to remedy the situation.

The Minister said this programme is one of the five priorities of his department for the first 100 days in office.

The application, which is free and available in two languages (Arabic and French), aims to ensure citizens' broad involvement in the national fight against pollution.

The ministry aims, in collaboration with Ooredoo and the Directorate General of Local Communities at the Ministry of the Interior, to encourage citizens to get involved in the general interest and develop services affecting them to reduce black spots in different regions.

Derouiche said he was optimistic about the collaboration with the various stakeholders (private companies, organisations and associations) to resolve environmental issues.
