Chacha TV, first local streaming platform in Algeria

The group Sense & Med & com has just launched Chacha TV in Algeria. Chacha TV is the first streaming and video-on-demand platform based in the country.
According to promoters, the platform will focus on Algerian audiovisual content but there will also be international productions. 

The creators of Chacha TV (Chacha means screen in Arabic), have appealed to all Algerian producers for their local content. They hope to concentrate the vast majority of local content to survive the increasingly strong competition from foreign companies.

Sense & Med & com is even considering, if the first months of activity of Chacha TV prove promising, to produce local content in the near future.
