Said Martin Sirk, ICCA CEO, "I'm delighted that African Bureau of Conventions has joined ICCA. We see this as one more sign of the rapid evolution of Africa's meetings industry, with more and more international associations holding major events on the continent, and the emergence of a vibrant regional African meetings scene.

"African Bureau of Convention's marketing, bidding and research capacity will be significantly enhanced through their ICCA membership and their use of our data, tools and business opportunities, and we wish them every success."

Sharon Peetz and Janine Meyer, directors of the African Bureau of Conventions said, "This membership will ensure that we have access to the 3735 potential meetings that can be hosted in South Africa."
