    ICASA allows Jacaranda FM to change shareholder structure

    The Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), granted an amendment to the shareholding in Jacaranda FM. New Africa Investments Limited (NAIL) through New Africa Broadcasting (NAB) sold 42.5% of its shares in Jacaranda FM.

    The amendment resulted in the following shareholding structure in Jacaranda FM:
    -- Kagiso Media through Naledi - 60%.
    -- Tiso Private Equity Fund 1 (TPEF) - 20%.
    -- Lagardere Active Radio International SA - 20%.

    The Authority also granted two special event licences, which are each valid for 30 days only to Bosveld Stereo and Forte' Community Radio.

    Bosveld Stereo in Brits will cover the Annual Agricultural Show from 9 August to 14 August 2004 and Forte' Community Radio will cover events related to the celebrations of 10 years of democracy which will include amongst others (valid from 4 August to 3 September 2004):
    -- An exhibition highlighting women achievements during the 10 years.
    -- Sarah Baartman Provincial Women's Festival.
    -- Women's Day Celebrations.
