Intercontinental Advertising CUP and Creative Summit - with a touch of music

ISTANBUL, TURKEY: Here's a conference with a difference... There will be presentations, of course - but there will also be the sound of a violin in the Congress Hall of Conrad Hotel in Istanbul during the Intercontinental Advertising CUP and Creative Summit this month.

Miha Pogacnik, world-class violinist, and visionary in the fields of business management inspiration and sustainable solutions, will take the delegates away with "The sound of Creativity and Innovation".

Says Pogacnik: "I want to share the 'decomposition' orchestral workshop and performance with so many creative colleagues at The Intercontinental Cup here in Istanbul. What I mean by innovation is to sharpen with intensity the perception of something that might be considered quite 'old', thereby transforming it into 'new', fresh and future bearing. Masterpieces of classical music are considered 'old'.

"I will challenge this notion and invite you to join me in discovery of deep layers of music, of sacred space that can only be reached, if we are willing to reduce the overdose of sensual impressions and for a short while follow the path of purity, simplicity, sensitivity and gripping beauty.

Pogacnik has played thousands of concerts, produced over 200 intercultural festivals in areas in crisis, and worked with leadership for over 150 global brand companies.

Intercontinental Advertising CUP and Creative Summit - with a touch of music

Michael Conrad, president of Berlin School of Creative Leadership will speak about Culture Inside, how a product or a service provides a function, culture shapes a brand.

Conrad says that in shaping, building and growing a brand's culture of creativity, innovation, values, clarity, authenticity, origin, heritage, differentiation, design and visual and verbal communication, we have to think local before global, dig into GENIUS LOCI - the spirit of the place.

Conrad began in 1968 his career in advertising as copywriter at Young & Rubicam Frankfurt, became Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather Frankfurt in 1970 and started with some partners in 1972 TBWA Frankfurt. He co-founded in 1975 Lürzer, Conrad Frankfurt, which merged in 1980 with Leo Burnett Germany. In 1982 the agency was re-named Michael Conrad & Leo Burnett.

With the ADC Germany he founded the "Berlin School of Creative Leadership" at Steinbeis University and serves as its president.
