Rhône-style wines to tempt your palate

Zonnebloem, one of South Africa's most enduring wine brands, has expanded its popular range with two new Rhône-style wines.
Rhône-style wines to tempt your palate

One is a generous single-varietal white wine made of Viognier grapes and the other is an opulent red blend comprising Shiraz, Mourvèdre and Viognier. Zonnebloem Viognier 2007, made from grapes produced on selected vineyards growing in the Stellenbosch and Wellington areas, is a full-bodied wine with rich and complex aromas of orange blossom, apricots and mint on the nose. Zonnebloem Shiraz Mourvèdre Viognier 2006 is a ruby-red wine and consists of 83% Shiraz, 12% Mourvèdre and 5% Viognier grapes.

The grapes were sourced from vineyards situated in Stellenbosch Kloof, the Helderberg and Devon Valley.

The Viognier 2007 retails at around R38 per bottle and the Shiraz Mourvèdre Viognier 2007 is available from R65.
