News Cafe helps women find their inner goddess

News Cafe pays homage to very special women this month, as selected stores invite them to explore their inner goddess in a unique series of evenings between July 22 and 28 in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Fortified by a welcome Goddess Cocktail and a bag of goodies in keeping with the theme Chocolate Spread, women guests will among other exciting treats have their 'senses awakened' by cabaret icon, the very wicked comedienne Irit Noble. Mixing the tunes for the all-girl evening will be DJ Lady Lea.

"Women are the cornerstone of our customer base, and lend tone to our famous vibe, so these evenings, entirely exclusive to women, are a way in which we pay our respects," said the group's Marketing Director Nick Eleftheriadis.

News Café Events Coordinator Vanessa Crause has hooked up with Cape Town entrepreneur Maria Vasco, originator of the Goddess Events, to bring the phenomenon to the north. "We know it's going to be the most fun you can have in two hours," she says.

The Goddess Events start at 8pm in a specially closed off area of the store, and end at 10pm. Guys are welcome all night at the News Café where the event is being held, says Crause, but excluded only from the cordoned off area where the Goddesses are gathered. At 10pm the gentlemen will be welcome to join the ladies.

Dates and times are: Rivonia, July 22; Melville, July 23 July; Northcliff July 24 July; Benoni, July 27; Faerie Glen, July 28.

Tickets may be bought at the door on the night at R100 each or in advance by calling, Tel: 27 11 452 8770. For more info visit www.newscafe.co.za.
