Tvplus celebrates five years

Tvplus magazine (published fortnightly with an Afrikaans and English edition) celebrates its fifth birthday with a special Tvplus birthday issue featuring on the cover five soap stars (one each from alll five locally produced soaps). Inside the stars share their birthday wishes, best soap memories and the very special TV moments they watched that moved them.

A star studded event to mark the occasion takes place at The Citrus Lounge, Johannesburg this coming Thursday with the casts from all five local SA soaps (7de Laan, Backstage, Egoli, Isidingo, Generations), the who's who in the local TV biz as well as some of local television's most recognized celebrities and loved faces.

Tvplus currently ranks as the sixth largest overall magazine in South Africa in terms of circulation (ABC Jan - June 2004), a magazine dedicated to promoting television and keeping viewers aware of the medium and what's on it. The special Tvplus birthday issue (cover date 13 October) will be on sale from Monday 4 October 2004.
