SA actor makes a name in Hollywood
Michael will portray the recurring role of Richard Guthrie, a wealthy and ruthless kingpin on the show which has already been renewed for a 2nd season and is regarded by international media as the most anticipated TV series of 2014.

Michael's previous credits include Clint Eastwood's Oscar-nominated Invictus, the Emmy nominated Strike Back series and FOX's 2008 Golden Globe nominated 24: Redemption -After the premiere, which gained 12 million viewers, international critics singled out Michael's controversial performance as sly UN worker, Charles Solenz, stating that the popular 24 series had found a new villain in Africa and that Michael's character was possibly the most spineless and ruthless character ever created for the show.
The actor with a penchant for playing intense baddies was recently seen as NASA expert, Judson Lovingood, starring opposite Oscar-winner William Hurt in the BBC Films' The Challenger Disaster. The Science Channel's first dramatic feature film garnered over five million viewers in it's US debut weekend.
Michael can also be seen this year playing the supporting role of Lester in Zentropa Entertainment's upcoming Western feature, The Salvation, opposite Mads Mikkelsen, Jonathan Pryce and Eva Green.
With over 60 TV & Film credits on his resume accumulated over the past thirty years, Michael's dedication to his craft was finally acknowledged on a recent visit to Los Angeles where he was official signed-up by SMS Talent Inc. in Beverly Hills. Where it usually takes actors in Hollywood years to even get a referral to a reputable agent, the unprecedented signing delighted Michael, as the top US boutique agency's impressive client roster includes the likes of Todd Lowe (True Blood), Zeljko Ivanek (The Bourne Legacy, Argo), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips) and Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean, Downton Abbey).
