"It is with much regret that we bid farewell to Karen," says Creative Living Magazines publisher Terena le Roux, "but we wish her well in her new position as communications manager within the corporate world. Under Karen's guidance our titles achieved tremendous growth and milestones and the magazines are market leaders."

Geldenhuys joined the magazines, formerly known as Woman's Value and dit, in 2003 as assistant editor and was appointed editor of both titles in 2005. She contributed significantly to their strategic growth, according to Le Roux, playing a key role in ensuring that the magazines became synonymous with creative, inspirational and affordable lifestyle solutions and most importantly, a firm favourite among readers.

The latest audited ABC circulation figures (July - September 2006) reveal that the magazine can lay claim to the highest selling women's interest title in South Africa, with 141 000 copies.

Geldenhuys will remain with Ideas magazine until mid-March. The position for her successor is currently being advertised.
