Morningside Shopping Centre warms up its interior

"The management team at Morningside Shopping Centre has identified areas of improvement in and around the centre and is in the process of creating an environment that will be beneficial to our shoppers," says Annie Philippeos, centre manager, commenting on the current changes in the centre. These include easier access to and from the centre as well as the weatherproofing of the interior with the onset of winter.

The Rivonia Road entrance to the centre, before the ticket stations, is undergoing some reconstruction. The upgrade will lead to a double-lane entry and exit in and out of the shopping centre. This will allow two cars to fit between the gates at the same time. Shoppers will still be able to enter and exit the centre while the construction work is under way.

A revolving door leading into the centre from the Waggon Street parking will also be installed, in between Sage & Thyme and Dial-A-Video. With autumn gradually approaching, this will prevent the cold weather and icy winds blowing into the lower level of the centre, creating a more pleasant environment for all. It will also serve as a security benefit within the centre and will be spacious enough to accommodate shopping trolleys.
