Gangs of Ballet release Don't Let Me Go music video

Don't Let Me Go is Gangs of Ballet's second single from the debut album "Yes/No/Grey" and is currently number 25 on the 5FM Top 40 after entering the chart four weeks ago. It is also charting on JacarandaFM's KiaTop20 chart where it is currently sitting at number 11.

The music video, a Bouwer Bosch Films and Brett de Vos Production, features an older couple with the wife breaking her husband out of hospital for one last night together, running wild around town and having fun. The song is based on the concept of soulmates and people being intertwined to the point of not knowing where you end and where they begin. The depiction of a bond was the most important element for the new video, and thus the band decided an older couple with a lifetime's worth of history would be the perfect example to emphasise this.

This is the first music video from Gangs of Ballet that does not feature a performance element, as the band wanted a short-story film for the plot of the video. The video is a more quirky than previous offerings and features the beauty of watching older people. It is also more light-hearted in parts, as the viewer experiences the bond between these two people.

"Everyone can connect with the song. Everyone wants to love and everyone wants to be loved. That connection with another human being is written into our DNA and it's hard to escape, no matter how old or young you are."
