This year, Hamman is joined by the entire 5Drive team including Jude van Wyk (sports), Nadia Romanos (news) and Bibi Mbangula (traffic) alongside producer Mad Money Mike.
The tour will begin in the Northern Cape with a visit to Augrabies Falls, before heading towards the North West Province, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State and winding down in the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape by the end of the month. Some highlights along the way include a visit to the Kruger National Park, Franschhoek and the Vredefort Dome, while sampling South African cuisine including KZN’s famous bunny chows, a traditional potjiekos in the Northern Cape, umngqusho in the Eastern Cape and bobotie in Cape Town. Some activities audiences can look forward to is the team turtle tracking in Sodwana, a night game drive and guided treetop walks in Mapungubwe.
The team will continue to observe Covid-19 protocols along the way, ensuring they keep their masks on, sanitise and social distance as far as possible. With local travel allowed under Level 2 lockdown, South Africans are encouraged to support local travel industries but continue to do so safely.
