    Amazing... a new brand

Soekershof, private mazes & botanical gardens in South Africa, has finally launched a brand - and about about half of its visitors are related to the pharmaceutical/medical world, marketing/PR and IT-industries.
    Amazing... a new brand

"In the past five years we've gained knowledge about our market", says CEO and co-owner Herman van Bon. “Soekershof is a globally unique attraction not designated for mass tourism. There were simply no marketing references to match with our unusual concept".

Since the opening in December 2002, management and staff kept records of their visitors including details of their nationality, profession, age and so on. "That's how we found out that about half of our visitors are related to the pharmaceutical/medical world, marketing/PR and IT-industries. Visitors whose interests are on gardening and spiritual issues follow these. About 70% are South African of which over 50% are native Afrikaans speaking.

“What is significant is that garden lovers in particular, are predominantly from overseas with emphasis on the UK, Scandinavia, Holland and the German-speaking countries. This is most probably because top botanists and horticulturists have recommended our gardens in the media. What attracts those people is the absence of all the tourist traps such as coffee shops, restaurants, craft shops and so on. What we offer is pure, from the heart".

Freshtake Creative in Cape Town developed the new brand in conjunction with Market Tree in Hout Bay and Van Bon reckons it will take two to four months for the changes to be implemented in the company's website and promotional material.
