SuperSport confirms live coverage of Super Four matches on DStv

According to André Venter, SuperSport operations director for Africa, the channel is poised to provide in-depth coverage of all the matches with supporting analysis by a team of SuperSport experts to add international appeal to the competition

Venter says that his channel's dedicated coverage of the tournament will involve the exclusive SuperSport 3 channel plus SuperSport 5 and 6 channels. He says the extensive coverage by SuperSport is predicated on his company's commitment to beam the best of Nigerian football to the rest of the continent and position Nigeria where it rightfully belongs as the leading soccer giant on the Africa horizon.

Venter says he is particularly delighted that SuperSport is able to continuously demonstrate its commitment to soccer-loving Nigerians, recently with the full coverage of the match between the Cranes of Uganda and the Super Eagles of Nigeria played last Saturday in Uganda.

Commenting on the Super Four coverage, Collins Khumalo, the managing director of MultiChoice Nigeria, said his company will continue to attract support and patronage for Nigeria as a broadcasting hub and is influencing the investment decisions of the major content service providers on the DStv bouquets in Nigeria to achieve this.

Khumalo says that through the efforts of MultiChoice Nigeria, companies such as SuperSport, M-Net and a host of other premium content providers have consistently made massive investments in Nigeria, especially in the area of home-grown local content.

Meanwhile, SuperSport has confirmed the four teams featuring in the competition and they are: Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Gombe United of Gombe, Rangers International of Enugu and Enyimba of Aba.
