NUSOJ mourns loss of journalist killed in SA

MOGADISHU: The National Union of Somali Journalists (NUSOJ) today, 1 June 2011, said the killing of a Somali journalist in Johannesburg, South Africa, has highlighted the continuing dangers facing Somali citizens in South Africa.

Ibrahim Mohamed Zaki, a journalist working with HornCable TV, Somali TV network, was murdered today in Johannesburg after armed men attacked his car and shot him dead.

NUSOJ calls this killing a tragic moment for media and Somali people in South Africa, who have been victims of deliberate and deadly violence in recent months.
