Flying high
Global aerial banner specialists Hobs Banners International launched its South African operation by flying a Castle Lager banner measuring 1500m2 (30m x 50m) at the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this past weekend over the FNB Stadium.
Allegedyly the largest ever flown in South Africa, the Aviations Authority-approved banner system is hoisted by a helicopter using a patented system, developed over the past 10 years.
"Marketers now finally have an effective tactical awareness tool that can be deployed anywhere anytime," says S'bonga Sibiya, sales director of Hobs Banners South Africa.
The Hobs banner has already been deployed in America, Australia, India, Germany and the United Kingdom by clients such as Visa, Coca-Cola, Qantas Airlines, Adidas and McDonalds.
