In late 2016, Werner moved to this role from Kagiso Media, where he was Group Commercial Director from 2013. He has a wealth of commercial and business development experience, having served in a range of senior executive and sales management roles across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Kagiso Media, Werner served as Managing Director at Datacentrix and before that, as Vice President: Sales for IBM in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Werner has 20 years' experience in selling industry solutions across South Africa, Central Africa, Western and Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East. He has more 15 years' experience in executive management and more than 8 years in strategy consulting in the entertainment and media industry.

He holds a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of Pretoria, a Masters in Engineering (M.Eng) from the University of JHB (Cum Laude) and a Bachelors in Engineering (B.Eng) from the University of Pretoria.
