I am a typesetter/layout artist working in Indesign on a Apple Mac. Have worked in just about every field, e.g.: advertising, direct mailing, packaging - most recently working on high school text books for major publishers in South Africa.
May 2004 to present: Educational textbook typesetter at Martingraphix, Observatory. Setting of all different types of text books, from Grade 1 Readers right through to Grade 12 Mathematics, using Indesign. Quark, Acrobat,
April 1996 to December 2003: Freelance typesetter/Artworker in London, United Kingdom, for various local weekly newspapers, property and motors sections, display ads for various directories (Yellow Pages, Thomsons etc), report and accounts, corporate ID, packaging, and general advertising work, using mainly Quark Xpress. Clients included Landor Associates, Wolff-Olins and Dorling Kindersley.
October 1991 to March 1996: First freelance, then permanent position at TNT Magazine, Earls Court, London SW5. Setting of display ads, and sometimes classified ads, for a weekly travel/London lifestyle magazine, electronic and manual paste-up.
