FutureMe launches #WoWFestival

FutureMe held their first World of Work (WoW) festival on 25 November at Christel House School in Cape Town. The social enterprise, aimed at addressing the youth unemployment crisis in South Africa, introduced the festival as an interactive event for learners and employers to gain first-hand exposure to a vast array of careers and employers.

Children arriving from various high schools to learn about future career choices options at the FutureMe - World of Work (WoW) festival. Each child received a lunch pack sponsored by Spar.

The festival was attended by over 800 learners from high schools around Cape Town, including Christel House, Silikamva High School, Bishops, Reddam House, Steenberg High School and Plumstead High School. The Western Cape Premier, Helen Zille, was also in attendance.

Sponsors of the festival included Microsoft, Investec, KPMG and Spar.
