Distell Inter Hotel Challenge winners crowned In Cape Town
The winners of the sixth annual Distell Inter Hotel Challenge were recently announced at a gala awards event at the Belmond Mount Nelson in Cape Town. Siya Molefe from the One & Only Cape Town was named chef of the year, while Samantha Swartz from The 12 Apostles Hotel & Spa in Cape Town was crowned wine steward of the year.

Tsogo Sun Silverstar Casino donates 189 staff hours for Mandela Day
The Tsogo Sun Silverstar Casino donated more than 189 staff hours and over R700,000 in various upliftment projects in celebration of Mandela Day. Its beneficiaries include the Bethany Trust House, which has several homes and centres under its care in Krugersdorp, as well as the Tower of Life, which shelters for men and women, and several others.

NMF, TPAM to make Mandela Presidential Centre a reality
The Nelson Mandela Foundation (NMF) alongside the Thebe Property Asset Management (TPAM) and Thebe Tourism Group (TTG) will convert former President Nelson Mandela's Houghton residence into a multi-purpose facility. The Mandela Presidential Centre project's professional team, led by TPAM, also includes Maru Spaces Architects; Kim h Interiors; Aurecon and MWV Engineers; GD Irons Construction; Kiwango Quantity Surveyors and Upper Level Town Planning. Khensani Heritage Consulting will be managing the preservation of Madiba's heritage on the site....

Capital Moloko to house Reuben's Restaurant and Bar in Joburg
The Capital Moloko hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg will be undergoing a soft renovation, which will include an update to its exteriors, carpeting, and soft furnishings; it is expected to be completed by the end of August 2018. The soft renovation will also involve a total overhaul of its restaurant and catering amenities.

The Tourism Conservation Fund launch
