Integrated Marketing Manager

Job description


This role is for an experienced marketing manager to design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across our client social impact projects. The candidate will work closely with our Programme Design and operations team to reach, engage and measure the impact on social impact programmes.

  • Design acquisition strategies which reach defined target audiences (often youth or small business entrepreneurs)
  • Devise strategies to retain a high percentage of new users and guide these users to achieve predefined goals
  • Acquisition campaign setup, reporting & iterative campaign design and implementation
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, freelancers and in-house members on design, copy, email messaging, and develop new concepts (creative and written) for all channels and audiences within brand guidelines and with consistency
  • Compile media schedules
  • Check all creative assets against technical and legal specifications along with URL’s and technical functionality
  • Work with content and copy manager to ensure messaging is consistent with key messaging and content compliments acquisition campaigns where needed
  • Track and log campaign activity and proactively propose actions for optimisation
  • Project reporting for campaigns
  • Identify trends and insights, new advertising & communication channels, formats and tactics and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  • Plan, execute and measure experiments and conversion rate tests
  • Manage and update monthly acquisition marketing budgets
  • Developing promotional processes
  • Building channel relationships
  • Liaising with Marketing agencies as required

  • Five+ years' marketing experience
  • Significant digital marketing experience
  • Two years' marketing via mobile channels
  • Suitable marketing qualification
  • Good understanding of performance marketing
  • Familiarity with drafting briefs for copywriters and designers
  • Knowledge of relevant marketing and social media software
  • Good knowledge of how to measure marketing and communication campaign’s performance
  • Google Analytics, SEO
  • Experience in the international development sector
  • Experience in working on pan-African campaigns
  • Supervisory experience

  • Be a team player with the ability to collaborate closely with the clients, implementation partners, the operations team and senior management
  • Ability to brainstorm and present creative ideas to the team and clients
  • Writing and presentation skills are required
  • Confident working directly with clients
  • Stable, adaptable individual who is able to handle pressure in a calm, mature way
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Extremely organised
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
