Job description

As a POS support administrator in our IT department, you would be responsible for managing the flow of data between POS System, StoreForce (Store workforce management solution) and X3 and vice versa. Your primary focus will be to monitor performance and integration, investigate errors and resolve or escalate where necessary. You will also deal with support queries logged to POS Support and StoreForce (Store workforce management solution). You will perform other departmental administrative duties and any other ad hoc responsibilities that may arise in line with this role.

Requirements

Key roles and responsibilities
  • Monitoring and maintenance of data flow processes
  • Managing user account maintenance
  • Managing new site setup and product setup
  • Basic system administration
  • POS application support in queries for the store environments specifically.
  • POS application and StoreForce (Store workforce management solution) 2nd line support with documenting and escalating to 3rd line support
  • StoreForce (Store workforce management solution) administration support
  • Loading and testing of Promotions in rCOS
  • POS Application Support for conditional promotions
  • Working with vendors for problem resolution to issues logged, within agreed SLA’s
  • Identifying and logging POS Application and StoreForce (Store workforce management solution) recurring issues to the attention of Systems Analyst and the system software vendor for root cause resolution
  • Ability to understand product, price, promo throughout multiple systems (iSync, Dolfin, X3, CH, Magento) and any changes and impact in this regard
  • Rotational after hours and month end support
  • Testing of changes and enhancements

  • Ability to escalate issues and concerns with confidence
  • Must be able to work as a team with system analysts, product support managers and other data administrators and help desk

Skills and qualifications
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance 
  • Previous retail experience is an advantage
  • Two years’ experience in an IT environment and any relevant qualifications
  • A+ certification an advantage
  • Experience in using Cow Hills and POS Support is an advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic SQL skills an advantage
