Qualified CA(SA)
Our client is searching for a qualified CA(SA) to join their team in the West Rand of Gauteng
The purpose of the position will be to support the reporting, finance and tax functions.
The candidate must reside in Johannesburg or be serious to relocate. This is not a remote position.Minimum requirements:
- Qualified CA (SA)
- Minimum of one year's experience out of articles
- IFRS knowledge
- Experience in consolidations (advantageous)
- Strong interest in tax and SARS experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Clean criminal record
- Advanced experience in MS Excel (non-negotiable!)
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Support the finance department in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS.
- Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements.
- Analyse accounts upon request.
- Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct.
- Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage.
- Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods.
- Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit
- Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary.
- Group reporting.
- Tax administration and compliance (tax compliance, consulting and accounting).
- Consolidation.
- Other Ad hoc reporting duties.
