Applications for the 2019/2020 internationally accredited and ranked Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree are now open and will close on 31 August 2018 for its full-time track and 28 September 2018 for four of its additional tracks.
The GIBS MBA degree enhances your leadership skills and helps you discover new avenues to advance your career. It is also the only MBA from a South African and African business school to be ranked in the top 100 best MBA programmes worldwide in the prestigious UK Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2017.
The GIBS pre-eminent MBA degree boasts a relevant curriculum that helps students become well-rounded and effective managers by exploring the dimensions of strategy, the business environment, functional areas of business and decision-making techniques, leadership, business integration and global management. The internationally recognised degree is designed in close consultation with business, offering prospective postgraduate students the choice of five world-class, internationally accredited MBA programmes including modular block releases, part-time and full-time offerings.
The GIBS MBA comprises: core courses, over 45 unmatched electives, including an African elective and a compulsory global elective as well as an integrative business research project. The programme is structured in two phases. Students need to successfully complete all requirements for the Post Graduate Diploma in General Management (PGDip GM) in order to be eligible to gain entry into the GIBS MBA. This does not affect the duration it will take students to complete their two-year MBA journey.
Due to our MBA being oversubscribed, prospective students are encouraged to apply early. Students have the option of taking the standard Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the GIBS Entrance Test.
“Aside from technical knowledge and skills, you can also expect to gain increased levels of confidence, enhanced critical thinking, higher levels of self-insight and productivity, and improved interpersonal skills,” says Dean of GIBS, Professor Nicola Kleyn.
GIBS selects the very best candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, this helps lay the foundation for the most dynamic, stimulating and versatile cohort of students who will work together successfully in teams; creating a network of friends and colleagues who will help and inspire each other for life.
“An MBA is a relationship you are starting with your future, it is a significant step that you can take to leverage both your personal and career growth,” added Kleyn.
